Asi estaba..

cachangas..sopapillas
Well another fun Saturday afternoon that I get to spend with my little girl. While Felipe was with our Kelsey, Salma and I got to make something new for her and her Daddy. I used to make these all the time when I lived in Peru, but somehow I forgot the whole recipe and I could only remember a few things. Here is were the internet is good for, I googled it and yes, I found it.
Salma was so into rolling the dough. She looked so cute helping mommy I just love her when she 'cooks with mommy.' She could not wait too much for one to be ready, she just wanted to try them right away.
Looks and tastes good. This time we ate them with ice-cream. The other day I made them like 'cheese empanadas.'

Quick seven
1. Going to school means having a whole new set of germs to get use to. In the month and a half that Salma is been going to school, she has gotten sick 3 times. Two of them with the flu and one with an ear infection. The thing about having two kids? well, if one gets sick, you can bet that the other will get it eventually.
2. Kelsey said "TA TA" the other day. Felipe is not accepting it as she saying "papa" he wants to hear her saying Papa. We will have to keep on working on it then.
3. Every time Kelsey wakes up from her nap and I go to her room to see her, she is doing this. She is peeking to see us. It just is so cute to see her doing it, but I think we (when I said we, I mean Felipe) are going to have to lower the mattress a level down.
4. I do not know what to do with Kelsey's hair. It is growing and she has a lot! I would like to put some hair clips but I am afraid she can get them and put them in her mouth.
5. Salma missed her "picture day" It was on one of the days that she missed school because she was sick. Well, there is always next year.
6. Salma had her follow up visit today with her doctor. Her ear was fine, but poor thing needed to have an immunization shot. She did not cry at all. She just looked at me with a really sad face and got over it really quick. For that, her nurse gave her a nice lollipop and a few stickers.
7. Funny thing, Felipe dressed Kelsey today. From the clothes she was wearing she looked like a boy. I forgot how many times I had to say today "she is not a boy"

B is for bandana
She is doing great at school. When I picked her up from it last Friday, the teacher told me that Friday was the first time that she fell asleep at "quiet time" The first time!
She brings her "art work" at home. I love to see them. Last month was the color Yellow, so she painted and did many things with that beautiful color. She even learned a song about it.
Am I getting old? or this little girl is growing up so fast. I remember no so long ago that she was learning to walk and look at her now! She is a beautiful little girl. Felipe and I love her and her little sister so much.
Queria usar la bandana como el Abuelito Vale la usa cada vez que va a trabajar en su casa (pintando, arreglando, etc)

Happy 7 Months Old
Today, She went to her big Sister's school, Daddy's office, and for the first time with Mommy to the Laundrymat. Since she cannot eat cupcakes yet to celebrate turning 7 months old (except for the tiny bites that her grandma gives her sometimes when Salma is having one) we celebrated with "baby cookies" She really enjoyed it until there was nothing left. I watched her eat it the whole time because it was the first time and I was a bit worried.
It was funny because when she finished, I took it off her hands, then when to the sink to clean it up and when I turned around to see Kelsey, she was sucking on her little toes. I could have been because when she was eating the cookies she kept touching her toes so they had a little bit of cookie on them.
This month we are looking forward to sit on our own, eat new foods like mashed potatoes, sopa de semola, maybe a little bit of crawling and of course Halloween!
